It began to pour down rain as The Big Elk Marching band took the field at Pre-Regional marching contest in Clinton. Through the rain and winds, Elk City Marching band beat the weather and came out on top with straight ones. They placed third overall in the contest. “This is always a great contest and a good measuring stick for where we are and what we need to work on,” said Director Randy Brooks on the band’s Facebook page.

Elk City Band directors and students are practicing before school to perfect their show for regionals October 16 in Lawton.
