Tennis Season Offers Promising Start

Elk City Tennis began the season with a trip to the Altus Tournament on March 5, and they finished the week at home with the Elk City Invitational on March 8.

“We had a great start to the season. Our girls are young and new to varsity, but they are working hard and improving every day. Our boys team is very competitive. We have about 10 boys that could all potentially play varsity, so we will be playing around with the roster to figure things out. I’m very pleased with their performance,” said Coach Curtis.

Altus Tournament

Girls: 4th Place

1 Singles- 6th Place: Sara Coffey
2 Singles- 3rd Place: Amanda Batchelor
1 Doubles- 7th Place: Judith Andrade and Maddie Benton
2 Doubles- 4th Place: Priscilla Aguirre and Karla Eguia

Boys: 3rd Place

1 Singles- 3rd Place: Will Thompson
2 Singles- 6th Place: Grant Graham
1 Doubles- 5th Place: Kobi Casebeer and Dillan Patel
2 Doubles- 3rd Place: Carter Senger and Evan Senger

Elk City Invitational

Girls: 3rd Place

1 Singles- 3rd Place: Sara Coffey
2 Singles- 2nd Place: Amanda Batchelor
1 Doubles- 5th Place: Judith Andrade and Maddie Benton
2 Doubles- 2nd Place: Priscilla Aguirre and Karla Eguia

Boys: Runner-Up

1 Singles- 5th Place: Caden Thomas
2 Singles- 2nd Place: Dylan Garrison
1 Doubles- 1st Place: Dillan Patel and Will Thompson
2 Doubles- 1st Place: Carter Senger and Evan Senger

They are scheduled to travel to Altus for the Lawton Tournament on March 12.
