As the Elkettes prepare for the season, they’ve had ten scrimmages and have practiced hours after school to get where they need to be. They’ve started out their preseason with scrimmaging against Okarche, Hammon, Canadian TX, Cheyenne, Hollis, Childress, Bethany, Bridge, Piedmont and Ada. “I am excited to start the Bball season. I have a great group of hard working girls that are ready to compete. Scrimmages went about like expected, ups and downs and great teaching moments. We have grown over the past month together and are ready to get things rolling November 27th at Magnum,” said Coach Ellison.
Their first game will be on November 27 in Mangum with junior varsity teams starting at 4:00 and varsity teams at 6:30.
Senior “I am very excited for my senior season. I expect us to get pretty deep into the playoffs this year and possibly make it to state. The girls the team are very committed, and I think it’s gonna lead to a successful season,” said Abby Bruner.
